People are forgetting how to live. No more love, no more intimacy. High speed internet porn trumps real life. It's now being exploited globally and destroys the connection we have with others. It's all about instant gratification, it's all about our precious *me time*. No ability whatsoever to handle potential rejection and anxiety. No desire to compromise, every choice boils down to an elaborate cost benefit analysis. 'No risk, no reward' is a thing of the past. It's all about that sheltered drug/porn riddled basement dweller lyfe. Pleasing someone else is too much of a sacrifice. Human connection will soon become obsolete
Most ppl already prefer a few pixels over the warm touch of a human being. Next come custom sex robots then virtual reality.
Maybe it's not a bad thing. Being an aspiring misanthrope, I feel there's very little good that comes out of humanity. I've always found it degrading not being able to consciously evolve beyond being an urge driven animal roaming around in need of temporary satisfaction. Always having to scramble for some place on the Darwinian ladder.
Maybe the whole notion of romance is a lie and I wouldn't be missing out on anything. But deep down it's saddening. What a tragic way for mankind to go. What's even more horrific is that I'll probably live to witness it. I'd rather have us wiped out by a meteor

What has become of this world?
